More info on E/FA Pure
a little more about our signature fish oil…
Fish oil has so many benefits, and has been shown to support the reduction of skin-related diseases including dermatitis, wound healing and photo-ageing. Studies have shown reduction in irritation and improvement in skin barrier function, assisting in ameliorating various kinds of dermatitis, as well as potentially decreasing wound healing time by modulating the inflammatory immune response at wound sites.
An essential fatty acid deficiency may be created within 7-10 days of dietary lack of fish, making E/FA Pure an easy, affordable and effective way to reach the daily requirements of EFAs without relying on the availability of wild-caught fish every week.
The concentration of E/FA Pure is one of its hallmark features. By comparison, to reach the same concentration as E/FA Pure with a popular supermarket brand of fish oil, one would have to consume 2-3 capsules for every 1 capsule of E/FA Pure. When reaching a therapeutic dose, as required for skin care, this would result in taking 8 supermarket fish oils versus 4 E/FA Pure.
E/FA Pure is sustainably sourced from wild caught deep sea fish, including sardines, anchovies and whitebaits and is produced in Canada.
What makes E/FA Pure better?
high concentration (one of the highest in the retail marketplace)
stringent purity testing (to parts per billion instead of parts per million like other brands)
sustainably sourced
no preservatives
no sulphites
no fillers or additives
naturally preserved with vitamin E
enterically coated (for slower release & increased absorption)
Dosage
Take 1-4 capsules daily, or as advised by your healthcare practitioner. One capsule provides daily requirements of EFA for a healthy person with no deficiencies. Four capsules is the higher end of supplementation, suitable for those with dry skin, fatigue, impaired skin barrier function and other health conditions which would increase the need for essential fatty acids.
Caution: As fish oil has a blood thinning action, caution is required in high doses (4 or more capsules daily), and in patients currently on anticoagulant medications. Supplementation should be ceased 7 days prior to surgery and iron infusions.
